Virtualization Engineer

Job Description:
Company is seeking individuals to work closely with our Fortune 1000 clients in designing, implementing and supporting Citrix Server/Desktop and VMWare Server/Desktop Virtualization Solutions. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience with virtualization solutions in an enterprise-level environment.

Roles and responsibilities include:

* Design and implement Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop solutions. Experience with additional Platinum features a plus.

* Design and implement VMware vSphere/View solutions.
* Physical to virtual migrations; identifying applications dependencies and risks.
* General support of installation upgrades and physical to virtual migrations.
* Implement advanced high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
* Provide necessary documentation to customers during and after project implementations.
* Provide knowledge transfer to customers at the completion of projects.
Required Experience:
* Three years experience in a consulting (or similar) role OR five years experience administering solutions described above in a large enterprise environment.
* Experience with enterprise blade solutions and storage are a plus.
Required Skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Must be organized and detail-oriented.
* Must have a team player attitude.
* Ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner.
* Should be knowledgeable with Windows 2000/2003 and Active Directory, DNS, group policy implementation, security policies, and maintenance.

Certifications:

Preferred --
Citrix CCEE, CCEA, or CCIA
VMWare VCP

Houston or Dallas residents preferred. No relocation assistance is available for this position
