Position Summary
To participate in assigned department research projects and activities with primary functions devoted to data collection, data review and analysis, and preparation of reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned based on the Grant or research being conducted.
Provides daily research support for all assigned research projects and related activities
Assists in developing research support procedures and policies
Conducts computerized and on-line research as needed to support ongoing and future research projects
Performs assigned medical and law library research assignments and prepares written report summaries
Assists in research, analysis, and writing of assigned reports to support other research staff members
Will create a recruitment plan for obtaining research participants and actively recruits research subjects
Conducts telephone interviews to assess participant eligibility
Reviews and obtains Informed Consent and HIPAA authorizations
Schedules and conducts the medical and non-medical clinical visits required and complete the study case report forms
Creates the participant database and keep information updated and current
Acts as liaison between the research sponsor and the departmentas necessary to coordinate research efforts
Answers research sponsor queries and participate in conference calls
Assists with the preparation of sample shipments to central laboratories
Tracks adverse experience reports and communicate with the IRB as necessary
Performs other related duties as assigned by Associate Director of Research
Qualifications

Education BA/BS degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience Two years of relevant research experience is necessary. Computer literacy with Microsoft Word is required with this position.
