JOB  TITLE :  PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Main point of contact for the State on issues related to program. Full accountability and responsibility for all aspects of delivery of contract. Responsible for implementing STGi’s budget in accordance with the contract. Within this context, the Program Director is responsible for managing client (State) relations; for supervising psychiatric services provided by the Psychiatrists and Psychologists, including staff supervision; for administrative aspects including monthly data reporting, QA/UA programming, outcome studies, payroll processing. The Program Director has a significant level of flexibility for determining work methods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains and enhances relations with State management.
• Establishes and maintains liaison with State management financial department.
• Establishes and maintains efforts to meet financial goals.
• Establishes and maintains liaison with Program Coordinators in each prison facility.
• Provides administrative supervision for program physicians.
• Recruits, selects, hires, and supervises non-medical program staff.
• Plans and supervises clinical programming.
• Develop, implement and maintain QA/UR functions utilizing ACA state, and contract requirements.
• Anticipates needs and recommends new and/or enhanced services.
• May participate in treatment team planning and in provision of care.
• Supervision of contract performance
• Program and Staff Supervision
• Marketing/Referral development

REQUIREMENTS

• Five years progressive management experience in healthcare and total working knowledge of correctional environment (preferably with Maryland system).

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• Master’s degree or higher in a human services related field.
• Posses full understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures of the Department of Corrections.
