Capital Nursing Solutions is seeking candidates for a Medical Assistant position.
As a Medical Assistant (MA), depending on the size and depth of the practice, you will be required to fulfill some or all of the following functions:
- Preparing patients for examinations
- Taking medical histories
- Assist physicians during examinations
- Explain medical procedures to patients
- Call in prescriptions to pharmacies
- Collect laboratory specimens
- Sterilize medical instruments
- Draw blood
- Remove sutures
- Take electrocardiograms
- Submit medical claim forms
- Update patient files
- Schedule medical tests
- Arrange for hospital admissions
- Billing and the bookkeeping
- Answer phones
- Schedule appointments
- Greet patients, sort mail, and type the doctors letters and memos
- Other applicable tasks and responsibilities
Requirements:
Minimum one year experience.
