Hospice Outreach Coordinator - Marketing Hospice Services
Brookdale Senior Living - Innovative Senior Care

The Hospice Outreach Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of organization marketing including managing the members of the marketing team, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, as well as responding to customer requests and concerns.

Essential Functions

- Directs all daily marketing operations including providing direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of marketing initiatives.

- Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.

- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.

- Assists in establishing organization volume projections in the annual budget and in establishing allocations for the marketing department. Monitors allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.

- Builds and monitors community, customer and patient perceptions of Innovative Senior Care Hospice as a high quality provider of services.

- Provides leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs

- Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of Innovative Senior Care Hospice markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, etc

Recommended Minimum Position Qualifications:

- Baccalaureate degree with a major in Community/Marketing, and/or Licensed Nurse preferred. Minimum of two

- (2) years of experience in sales or public relations, preferably in a hospice care company or a minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience, OR Therapist, social worker, or medically trained equivalent, with experience in social services coordination for patients with multiple, complex medical and/or socioeconomic needs.

- Familiar with health care reimbursement. Knowledge of principles and techniques of effective written and verbal communications.
