Job Description:
GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is for a Senior Enterprise Storage Consultant focusing in the data layout design, architecture and performance analysis for EMC Enterprise storage solutions to support our client's Storage Services efforts. This position requires the highest professionalism, communication and strong skills in the EMC Enterprise storage landscape.

This role requires at minimum of at least 5-10 years of design, architecture, and performance analysis experience in enterprise-level EMC storage environments. In addition to expert-level knowledge of EMC hardware and software technologies, strong general information technology knowledge, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead storage architecture discussions with EMC customers and work with EMC partner teams to engage with customer's technical leaders
* Work with project managers to produce level of efforts and develop statements of work
* Perform Data Layout, Performance Analysis and other advanced services for EMC enterprise environments. Customer environments include database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, and UDB/DB2, and Enterprise Applications like SAP, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Sharepoint, and Oracle eBusiness Suite 11i/R12
* Produce professional documentation and provide detailed knowledge transfer to customers for billable services engagements.
* Provide advanced technical and or business consultative services to both customers, internal and partner sales teams during the pre-sales and/or post-sales cycle.
* Share information and best practices with other team members.
* Provide support and mentoring to less experienced engineers through onsite and virtual classroom training sessions and on-the-job shadowing.

* Operating Systems: AIX, HP-UX, Red Hat & Suse Linux, SUN Solaris, VMware ESX/vSphere and Windows
* Storage Networking: Fibre-Channel and iSCSI, DAS/SAN/NAS, Broacde, McData, and Cisco MDS switches
* Backup Software: Symantec Veritas NetBackup, EMC Networker, CommVault Galaxy, and IBM TSM
* Volume Managers and File Systems: VxVM, VxFS, LVM, JFS, UFS, NFS, CIFS, MPFS, Veritas DMP, EMC PowerPath, MPIO, EMC Open Migrator
* Storage Management Software: EMC Control Center, EMC Navisphere Manager, EMC Solutions Enabler

* Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V

Candidates should have exposure to EMC replication working with Oracle and Microsoft replication. 

Candidates should have exposure to Oracle or SAP databases running on EMC storage.
