Key responsibilities include:
**Oversees dining room area and kitchen areas. Makes sure standards are maintained.
**Assumes the duties of the Dining Services Coordinator on his/her days off, as well as Food Service Director in their absences.
**Assists the Food Service Director with the ordering of food.
**Participates in conducting inventory twice per month.
**Responsible for accurate completion of the daily production sheets.
**Learns the names of all residents. Must be well liked by the residents, but must also be viewed as a manager who ensures quality control.
**Builds solid, respectful business relationships with the waitstaff and all other employees at the community.
**Attends all food committee meetings. Conducts food committee meetings in the absence of the Food Service Director.
**Attends department head meetings in the absence of the Food Service Director.
**Participates in the hiring, training, counseling, and termination of staff.
**Responsible for assisting with setting up all catering functions.
**Ensures staff compliance with uniform policy.
**May schedule periodic associate meetings to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback.
**Maintains adherence to standardized recipes.
**Builds solid, respectful business relationships with the wait staff and all other associates at the community.
**Conducts training sessions with cooks, dishwasher, and wait staff.
**Handles resident complaints in a courteous and prompt manner.
