Exercises leadership responsibility over the practice of Nursing as a member of the Administrative Team, to ensure consistency in practice standards and to facilitate an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of care. Demonstrate ability to work with medical staff in coordination of care throughout the patient care continuum of the Hospital. Develops and articulates the vision and strategic direction for the practice of Nursing. Directs the development of strategies to promote the recruitment, retention, and recognition of excellence in Nursing. Participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical programs and services. Ensures compliance with all applicable standards and requirements of hiring state. Supervises several department directors and managers, including, but not limited to, Director of Pharmacy, Director of Quality Services, Director of Home Health, Administrator of Skilled Nursing Facility, Nursing Unit Managers, Behavioral Health, Utilization Review, and oversees physician relations with contracted physicians in the Emergency Room.

Modest sized facility, with a new ER, only a year old. 25 bed acute care, and 45 bed skilled nursing. Family atmosphere!
Job Requirements:
Must have a Masters degree. BSN required, MSN preferred but Masters can be in related field. Five years administrative experience with increasing scope of responsibility in a health care setting, hospital preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Critical Access Hospital and Magnet experience a plus. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products required. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse state of hire.
Job Schedule:
Days and as needed nights and weekends.
