Busy Internal Medicine practice located in Dunwoody, GA, is seeking a permanent full time EXPERIENCED CERTIFIED CODER to code inpatient charges for the group.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

• Must be Certified Coding Specialist (CPC/CCP, CCS) with INPATIENT CODING experience.
• A minimum of 3 years CPT/ICD-9 coding experience.
  Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and maintain an effective working relationship with all levels of staff. 
• Must have a stable job history, excellent references, and clean background.  

Position Summary:  Responsible for interacting with physicians and other patient care providers in establishing the principal and secondary diagnoses, principal and secondary procedures concurrently and at discharge, and coding these for all patients in order to promote appropriate reimbursement.  Identify and assist the Administrator in resolving problems related to payment system and interaction for timely processing of claims. Responsible for appealing any insurance denial based on coding issues.  

***Salary to $19/hr. depending on relevant coding experience, certification, and education. The practice is offering a great compensation and benefits package, including incentive bonus, 401K retirement, health insurance options, and paid holiday, vacation and sick leave.
