Summary:
Provides assistance in the administration of various associate benefit programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides day to day customer service to all associates via phone and email. Communicates the company's values to all audiences.
* Processes benefit enrollments via phone by explaining benefit eligibility to associates and assists in resolving associate questions regarding the benefit program.
* Understands plan coverage provisions and can apply them to individual associate situations.
* Maintains and processes records and documents necessary for implementing and/or canceling benefit coverage.
* Updates PeopleSoft to document benefit enrollment actions and to provide information for payroll, etc.
* Examines associate records to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
* Supports field and Benefits Department with legal issues, including research and statistical reports.
* Manages benefit related PeopleSoft data, uses queries, runs interfaces and analyzes associate utilization of current benefits.
* Assists with weekly audits of benefit plans.
* Runs interface reports for benefit processing through the HRIS system.
* Keeps associates informed of annual enrollments or benefit changes through mailings and meetings.
* Coordinates and assists with reconciling of reports.
* Utilizes standard reports when available or writes and produces clear and concise PeopleSoft reports for monthly statistical reporting.
* Administers the educational assistance program to include tracking of applicants and processing check requests.
* Assists with administration of PTO program. Monitors PTO system to ensure accuracy. Processes PTO donations. Notifies payroll of adjustments.
* Ensures confidentiality of records and adheres to established record keeping and retention guidelines.
* Perform other duties as required.
Strong Microsoft Office experience. Experience and knowledge of benefit programs. Excellent customer service skills. PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
