“Conference Coverage Highlights From HIMSS 2010 - Part 2” – on Conference Coverage
The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference brings together more than 28,000 healthcare industry IT experts to see offerings from over 900 exhibitors. It is the largest annual gathering in the healthcare information technology field. This year's exhibit takes on special significance given federal incentives to accelerate adoption of information technology in the healthcare arena. Dr. Matthew Birnholz hosts this second of two programs from the conference.

Dr. Matthew Birnholz is the Director of Programming and Content for ReachMD, having joined the production team in early 2007. He is also a host for Clinician's Roundtable programs airing on the channel. Dr. Birnholz received his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Music from Colby College in Waterville, ME, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. Prior to attending medical school, he served as a bilingual preschool-kindergarten teacher for an Hispanic school community in Chicago. Dr. Birnholz earned his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2006, and was elected Class Speaker for commencement ceremonies.
