Hosts Dr. Michael Greenberg and Dr. Matt Birnholz welcome this week's guests to talk about your practice and career: Dr. Neil Baum, author of Marketing Your Clinical Practice: Ethically, Effectively, Economically and Tim Rush, whose job-finder platform for healthcare professionals powers ReachMD's new Career Center. Plus, Believe it Not! an Indian yogi who hasn't had anything to eat or drink in 70 years.

 

Dr. Greenberg is a certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a graduate of the Chicago College of Naprapathy. He is author of the books Off the Pedestal: Transforming the Business of Medicine and A Man of Sorrows, writes a column for American Medical News, and is the editor-in-chief of Second Opinion Audio Magazine. Dr. Greenberg has been appearing on television and radio since 1989; his list of appearances includes "The Today Show," "The Dick Cavett Show," "The Tom Snyder Show," plus a week-long series on alternative healthcare he created for "Good Morning America."

Dr. Matthew Birnholz is the Director of Programming and Content for ReachMD, having joined the production team in early 2007. He is also a host for Clinician's Roundtable programs airing on the channel. Dr. Birnholz received his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Music from Colby College in Waterville, ME, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. Prior to attending medical school, he served as a bilingual preschool-kindergarten teacher for an Hispanic school community in Chicago. Dr. Birnholz earned his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2006, and was elected Class Speaker for commencement ceremonies.

Dr. Neil Baum is associate clinical professor of urology at Tulane University School of Medicine and Louisiana State University Medical School, both in New Orleans. He is also on the medical staff at Touro Infirmary and Memorial Medical Center, both in New Orleans, and East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana. He is author of the book Marketing Your Clinical Practice: Ethically, Effectively, Economically. Dr. Baum is certified by the American Board of Urology.

Tim Rush

Tim Rush is the founder and president of Healthcare Staffing Innovations, LLC, the owner and operator of the HealthJobsNationwide.com career center network. He developed HSI out of his passion for developing web-based solutions for staffing the healthcare industry. Prior to developing HSI, Tim served as a recruiter and Vice President of Corporate Development at DDS Staffing Resources and Medical Staffing Resources. Tim, his wife Kirsten and their five children reside in Woodstock, Georgia.
